Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Feature Specialist to support vehicle integration and validation, owning the functional objective library, and developing test plans across cross-functional teams. The role focuses on delivering features within the domain and maintaining robust validation processes.

The candidate should have a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET), with 3+ years in vehicle integration and validation, and strong knowledge of DV, PV, FMEA and test planning.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• At least 3 years in vehicle integration and validation; or experts in ADAS/Connectivity/Telematics may be considered with shorter experience.
• Strong understanding of operational architecture, use cases, and vehicle/software life cycle.
• Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing; knowledge of DVPR, DV, PV and test planning.

Responsabilidades

• Support vehicle integration and validation by owning and maintaining the functional objective library, creating test plans and procedures, supporting tech club, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new features within the domain.
• Triaging issues with Platform Engineers, describing both functional and dysfunctional behavior, performing risk analysis (HARA), and writing end-to-end test plans.
• Lead benchmarking activities for their domain.

Your role

The OEM Connected Vehicle Team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to Uconnect customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

• The Feature Specialist will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning and maintaining functional objective library, creating test plans and procedures, supporting tech club, and working alongside the cross functional teams to develop new features within their domain.
• The Feature Specialist also support the Platform Engineers in triaging issues found on vehicle that fall into their domain as well as support any required ride and drive events. They will define and describe both functional and dysfunctional behavior, perform appropriate risk analysis (HARA) and be responsible for writing end-to-end test plans.
• The specialist will also lead benchmarking activities for their domain.

Your profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program
• 3 years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent. If good expert in ADAS/Connectivity/Telematics Performance, then below 3 years can also be considered.
• Strong understanding of operational architecture, defining use cases, vehicle and software life cycle
• Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing
• Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning
• Strong desire to understand customer wants and vehicle development program. Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral). Strategic thinker.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work. Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
• Previous experience in feature design, system design or integration
• DFSS Green Belt
