Flex Guadalajara is seeking a Component Engineer to provide technical support and ownership of diverse components within the Global Design Procurement organization. You will ensure continuity of supply, supplier readiness, and improvements in cost, delivery, and quality for Flex design and customers.

You will identify opportunities for redesign or substitution to reduce costs, improve reliability, and manage sourcing with preferred suppliers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in electronic components engineering, qualification, sourcing or supply chain within electronics manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components including semiconductors, passives, connectors and electromechanical devices.
• Experience with component qualification, alternate sourcing, lifecycle management and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Knowledge of RoHS, WEEE, REACH and lead-free manufacturing processes.

Responsabilidades

• Identify opportunities for redesign or component substitution to reduce cost and improve reliability.
• Source with preferred suppliers and qualify components used.
• Provide technical backing for alternate sourcing and interface with suppliers' design teams.
• Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and maintain component data records.
• Collaborate with design centers, manufacturing and suppliers to resolve manufacturing issues.
