Job summary

Pirelli is seeking a Compliance Lead for Mexico to maintain and develop the country compliance program and stay current on laws, regulations, and enforcement actions relevant to the business.

The role collaborates with all functions to create, review, and implement policies, assess controls against anti-corruption risks, and ensure data protection compliance, working with external counsels as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance function in a corporate or consultancy environment.
• Fluency in English.
• Critical thinking and detail orientation with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and administrate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and the Code of Ethics.
• Collaborate in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of measures and controls to mitigate anti-corruption risks.
• Analyze sanctions risks related to Trade activities based on laws, third-party analysis, and supply chain tracking.
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws regarding employees’ and third parties’ personal data.
• Monitor applicable laws and regulations that may impact company operations in ESG, trade, privacy & AI, anti-corruption, and anti-trust areas.
• Periodically monitor the internal controls system to prevent violations.
• Manage relationships and collaborate with internal teams and external counsels.

Description of the activity:

The requirement is to ensure the maintenance and development of the Compliance of the Mexican Country; in particular, to maintain a deep knowledge of current and emerging laws, regulations, recent enforcement actions, best practices and requirements and to address situations that may impact the business processes and procedures.

To ensure this, collaborate with all functions to create, improve and implement strategies and programs in order to:

• Develop, review, and administrate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation as well as the Code of Ethics, that underlines Corporate principles;
• Collaborate in assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of organizational measures and controls implemented to mitigate anti-corruption risks;
• Analyze sanctions risks related to Trade activities, based on legislative requirements, third-party analysis, flows and supply chain tracking;
• Ensure compliance with data protection laws, regarding employees’ and third party’s personal data;
• Monitor applicable laws and regulations that may impact the Company operations within the different fields (e.g. ESG, trade, privacy & AI, anti-corruption, anti-trust regulations);
• Periodic monitor of the internal controls system with the aim of preventing possible violations;
• Manage and maintain strong relationships and collaborate with the different teams and with external counsels who support the Company.
