This position is responsible for overseeingand ensuring that the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations,and internal policies related to corporate governance, ethics, and compliance.
This role will involve monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, managingand/or conducting Investigations under the direction of legal counsel, andproviding guidance to departments operating in multiple jurisdictions.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Develop, implement, and maintain complianceprograms and policies to meet all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican laws(tax, labor, foreign trade, customs, occupational safety) and USA laws (ITAR,
- FCPA, EAR)
- Design, implement and maintain arisk-based anti-corruption due diligence program for non-U.S. transactions in
- compliance with corporate, U.S. government and company policies. This effortincludes, but is not limited to,conducting vendors screening, providingtraining, performing self-assessments and providing guidance to upper
- management.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits(internal, external, regulatory and client) to identify compliance gaps and
- implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and interpret changes ininternational legislation affecting the organization and advise relevant
- stakeholders.
- Provide training and education toemployees on compliance topics, including anti-corruption, data privacy, and
- trade regulations.
- Prepare compliance reports and presentationsfor senior management.
- Serve as the primary point of contactfor compliance matters with regulators, client, and corporate offices.
- Under the direction of legal counsel,manage and conduct investigations into compliance matters and sensitive
- personnel matters.
SKILLSAND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Law, Finance, InternationalBusiness or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant professionalcertification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience incompliance, risk management, or legal advisory roles, with a focus on
- international regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of internationalcompliance laws and best practices (e.g., FCPA, GDPR, OFAC).
- Experience with compliance audits andmonitoring within a multinational environment.
- Strongunderstanding of compliance frameworks, regulations and industry standards.
- Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisionsbased on regulatory requirements.
- Experiencemanaging and/or conducting internal investigations.
- Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interacteffectively with diverse teams and external regulators.
- Proficiency incompliance management software and tools.
- Attention todetail and a high degree of integrity and ethics.
- Ability towork independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive informationwith discretion.
