Job summary

Signify is seeking a Commercial Ops Specialist based in Monterrey, Mexico to support trade compliance and cross-border logistics.

You will execute daily customs activities, maintain data accuracy (HS classifications, origin, NOM), coordinate with freight forwarders and internal teams, and help implement process improvements. English proficiency is required, and CCS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs regulations, or supply chain logistics.
• Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• English is required

Responsibilities

• Executes day-to-day customs and trade compliance activities in alignment with internal procedures and external regulations.
• Maintains accurate trade compliance data (e.g., HS classification, country of origin, ECCN). Ensures NOM compliance; coordinates with COE, Product Management and Freight Forwarder.
• Oversees Freight Forwarder operations and tracks KPIs to ensure service quality.
• Manages Horus portal for expo documentation and supports audits with required documentation.
• Assists in implementing trade compliance programs and tracks regulatory changes.
• Manages PO administration and spend control, assisting the Risk and Standards Trade and Customs Program manager.

This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Commercial Ops Specialist to be based in Monterrey, Mexico with Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting.

Supports the execution of trade compliance and customs operations by ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and internal standards, contributing to efficient and compliant cross-border supply chain activities.

• Executes day-to-day customs and trade compliance activities in alignment with internal procedures and external regulations.
• Maintains accurate trade compliance data (e.g., HS classification, country of origin, ECCN). Ensures NOM Compliance (NOM File Management, works hand in hand with COE for classification, Product Management for Certifications and Freight Forwarder to comply). Coordinates with internal stakeholders and external service providers to ensure timely and compliant import/export operations.
• Oversees that all Freight Forwarder operations are being done with best quality standards and tracks main KPI’s to ensure proper level of service.
• Manages Horus portal for expo documentation.
• Monitors and reports on trade compliance metrics and documentation accuracy. Supports internal and external audits by providing required documentation and clarifications.
• Assists in the implementation of trade compliance programs and process improvements. Tracks regulatory changes and escalates potential compliance risks to management.
• Manages and coordinates the PO administration and spend control, provides input to the Risk and Standards Trade and Customs Program manager.
