albo is seeking an expert Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and secure a complex multicloud environment with a strong emphasis on GCP. You will manage VPCs, Interconnects, and DNS while enforcing Zero Trust and IAM governance within critical financial integrations such as Banxico and SPEI.

You will work on secure network topologies, hybrid connectivity, and observability using Datadog, SigNoz, Google Cloud Monitoring, and Wazuh to ensure high availability and resilience.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in Cloud/Networking roles.
• Strong GCP networking and security expertise.
• Experience with Multicloud and hybrid connectivity.
• IaC experience with Terraform.
• Spanish fluency required.

About the role

We are looking for an expert Cloud Engineer with a profound specialization in cloud communications and network architecture. As a core member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and securing our complex Multicloud environment, with a heavy emphasis on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will ensure that our critical financial integrations (such as Banxico, SPEI, and STP) operate over secure, resilient, and highly available network topologies.

What you’ll be doing at albo

• Multicloud Architecture: Design and manage secure, high-performance network communications across hybrid and Multicloud environments, ensuring seamless connectivity between GCP, other cloud providers, and on-premise/vendor networks.
• GCP Infrastructure: Manage and optimize our GCP infrastructure, focusing on VPCs, Cloud Router, Interconnects, Load Balancers, and DNS.
• Security & Access Control: Implement Zero Trust networking principles. Configure and maintain robust security perimeters using GCP Cloud Armor (rate-limiting, bot protection, IP allowlists) and enforce strict Identity and Access Management (IAM) governance.
• Critical Financial Connectivity: Oversee and maintain the secure network pathways required for core fintech operations, including integrations with Banxico and SPEI, coordinating complex maintenance windows with minimal disruption.
• Observability & Troubleshooting: Utilize tools like Datadog, SigNoz, Google Cloud Monitoring and Wazuh to monitor network performance, trace latencies in a microservices architecture, and quickly resolve complex routing or connectivity issues.

About you and what type of skills you'll need:

• Over 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Network Engineer, or Cloud Architect.
• Deep, demonstrable expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) networking and security components (VPC, Cloud Armor, Cloud VPN/Interconnect, IAM).
• Strong proven experience managing Multicloud architectures and hybrid connectivity.
• Solid understanding of network protocols (BGP, IPsec, TCP/IP, DNS) and secure API communication.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, primarily Terraform, to manage complex network states.
• Familiarity with financial sector security standards and the operational rigor required for managing critical connections (e.g., SPEI/Banxico).
• Exceptional analytical skills to diagnose multi-layered network issues.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and network providers during critical maintenance operations.
• Fluent Spanish is a must.
