  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Activities
  • Raise SSI maintenance request on COAST for US entity.
  • Perform reconciliation on all entities except for Asia Pacific.
  • Funding for Euroclear, domestic market settlement for off cycle and failing deliver vs payment (DVP) trades.
  • Process transaction fees and FX repatriation request.
  • US client services support.
  • Perform allocations for markets Brazil, Colombia, Chile and Peru.
  • Process Pink sheets (ADP) manual instructions across all markets.
  • Process Claims / stock borrows lending fees / FTTs, IFTTs.
  • Responsible for fails management process.
  • Identify potential financial risk to the bank and ensure proper resolution is achieved within the bank’s guidelines.
  • Monitor RAD Rec/Del for unmatched items throughout the day.
  • Monitor trade statuses and proactively address any settlement issues.
  • Liaise with Middle-Office for any trade discrepancies.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of Cash and Stocks.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Associate will be responsible to oversee the daily functions of International Settlements. Responsible for overseeing and managing settlements in DTC for affiliates HBEU and HBCE.
  • Ensure that all trades are instructed to settle on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Review the fails report daily.
  • Reconcile daily stock record/ Depot Breaks/ Client breaks.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate sound understanding of all Equity Products.
  • Knowledgeable in cross border settlement.
  • Able to demonstrate the mind set and maturity to operate in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to apply judgment to operational situations in a fast‑paced environment to drive progress.
  • Awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.
  • Ability to implement initiatives and work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients/stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to identify opportunities of process improvement.
  • Follow formal escalation framework across all aspects of Operations i.e. operational and systemic related risks.
  • Strong awareness and appreciation to operations risk and control and exception management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage local and international relationships across the.
  • 3‑5 years of Settlements or investment banking experience would be recommended.
  • Experience in people management is advantageous.
  • A degree in Business or Finance would be preferred.
  • Ability to multi‑task and support multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a demanding and time sensitive environment.
  • Hands‑on experience of operations processing is an advantage.
