North Central Educational Service District 171 (NCESD 171) seeks a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support families enrolled in the NCESD ESIT program, primarily in Grant County. The COTA will develop, implement, and document treatment programs for children with disabilities and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including parents, to ensure high-quality services.

General Description

This position is a rare opportunity to join an exciting team. The regional North Central Educational Service District 171 (NCESD 171) is seeking a dynamic team player interested in making an impact in the lives of families and children as the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for families enrolled in the NCESD ESIT program primarily in Grant County. The COTA will develop, implement, and document treatment programs directly for children with disabilities within the scope of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate well with the multidisciplinary team (including parents), maintain up-to-date cumulative treatment notes for all children and families, follow all relevant state and federal regulations for Early Intervention, Part C of IDEA, and understand and follow the policies and procedures of the state Early Support for Infants and Toddlers program. The COTA will participate in ongoing professional development, attend essential agency and team meetings, and conferences as necessary.

Full Job Description:
Salary
  • $43,619.00 – $51,848.00 (level 1)
  • $45,808.00 – $54,451.00 (level 2)

Salary based on 185-day position. Salary range dependent upon experience and expertise.

Benefits
  • Insurance benefits – Through the HCA SEBB program, includes medical, dental, vision, life, & LTD (if hired for more than 79 days)
  • Retirement – Through the Department of Retirement Systems (DRS)
  • Sick leave – accrued at 8 hours per month
  • Personal leave – 3 days per year
