Amazon Business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Category Merchant Manager to help scale Mexico and reinvent the way MX businesses buy B2B supplies. This is an individual contributor role that owns a category end to end, defining strategy and executing tactical plans in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders.
Specifically, this individual will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the procurement and executive teams of strategic business accounts, along with internal stakeholders and cross functional teams, to create and present compelling Amazon Business solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements. The Category Merchant Manager will build the success of those accounts by delivering business insights, training, support, and seller education.
The Category Merchant Manager will have P&L responsibility, as well as owning and managing key KPIs such as selection, pricing, and availability. The ideal candidate has experience owning a category, consistently delivering multi million dollar targets, executing strategy and tactics, and developing cross functional relationships to voice customer feedback to internal stakeholders.

Own the category P&L and reach top and bottom line goals by executing on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, while always placing the customer first
Own and manage key KPIs including selection, pricing, and availability across the category
Identify, qualify, acquire, and grow business customer and seller commitment to Amazon Business through feature and service adoption
Develop regional territory plans and report on them quarterly
Drive prioritized lead generation and prospect acquisition for the category
Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of accounts in your territory. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity
Drive customer satisfaction across the customer base with expert account management
Analyze customer data and make recommendations to maximize the potential of the assigned territory, then execute successfully on the plan
Understand and mechanize the inputs and outputs of the business
Partner with Sales Operations and Marketing to test, measure, and execute tactical plans
Partner with Category and Product Management teams to drive product improvement ideas
Take an ownership role in the continued build out and documentation of category and sales infrastructure
Prepare and deliver business reviews on progress and state of health, and present results in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review meetings to key internal stakeholders and executives
Manage complex contract negotiations and serve as a liaison to the legal team
Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and operational metrics

6+ years of sales experience
8+ years of digital sales, account management, business development, or partner management experience
Experience and understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India and exposure to prior interactions with sellers and distributors
Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers
Experience managing and growing complex business relationship at scale
Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English
Bachelor's degree
