Autoliv seeks a CAD Specialist for its Toluca, Mexico facility to support early-stage development and design of seatbelt programs. You will contribute to concept development, prototype creation, design validation, and production-ready designs that meet customer requirements and manufacturing feasibility.

You will create production-ready 3D models and drawings, manage engineering data in Siemens Teamcenter, apply GD&T principles, and collaborate with global teams.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Design Engineering, or related.
• CATIA V5 CAD software expertise including Advanced Part Design and Assembly Design.
• Ability to create, modify, and interpret 3D models and engineering drawings for development and manufacturing.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills for design reviews and collaboration.
• Active participation in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain conceptual packaging layouts and 3D product designs in line with customer specs and Autoliv standards.
• Create and release production-ready 3D models and engineering drawings, including tooling and die-cast components.

In this role you will beresponsible for supporting the early-stage development and design of awarded Seatbelt (SB) programs at our Toluca, Mexico facility. You will contribute to concept development, prototype creation, design validation, and production-ready product designs, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, engineering standards, and manufacturing feasibility.

Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• Develop and maintain conceptualpackaginglayoutsand3Dproductdesigns, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, manufacturing requirements, and Autoliv design standards.
• Create and release production-ready3Dmodelsandengineeringdrawings, including B-side features, tooling feasibility details, die-cast components, and associated hardware.
• Manage and maintain engineering data, CAD models, and product documentation using SiemensTeamcenter, ensuring accuracy and configuration control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Apply GD&Tprinciples, perform design reviews, and collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet tooling, assembly, quality, and production requirements.
• Partner with global engineering and design teams to support program development, provide on-site design support as needed, and participate in domestic and international travel to support project objectives.

If you have/are:

• Bachelor’s degree in MechanicalEngineering,AutomotiveEngineering,IndustrialEngineering,DesignEngineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with CATIAV5CADsoftware, including Advanced Part Design, Assembly Design, Parametric Modeling, Boolean Operations, and Basic Surface Design.
• Ability to create, modify, and interpret 3Dmodelsandengineeringdrawings in support of product development and manufacturing requirements.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated team-oriented mindset, including active participation in design reviews, problem-solving activities, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
