Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with MVC framework and full-stack web development.
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and C# for applications.
• Experience with Power BI, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Knowledge of SSDLC and cybersecurity practices.
• English level B1 and Spanish level C2.

Objective of the position

As a member of the Low Voltage Wiring Design Engineering Department at Daimler Trucks Mexico Engineering Center (DTMEC), provide innovative engineering solutions to Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) in the Cab Wiring area. Leverage artificial intelligence, software development, automation, and digital technologies to enhance wiring engineering processes, optimize product development activities, reduce manual effort, and enable data-driven, efficient, and high-quality engineering decisions, while ensuring compliance with DTNA standards and strategic objectives aligned with the Global Wiring Team.

Indispensable Requirements

• Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging applications using SQL, Python, and C#.
• Experience developing applications using the Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework.
• Full-stack application development using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and modern web technologies.
• Git-based source control management (GitHub) and .NET application development.
• Power BI, workflow automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled engineering solutions.
• Secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) principles, cybersecurity awareness, and data

Main Functions

• Responsibility: Develop, maintain, and enhance software tools, automation solutions, and digital applications that support Wiring Engineering activities. Provides technical support to engineering teams, resolves application issues and software defects, automates manual processes, and assists with the implementation of new digital capabilities. Receive task assignments and technical guidance from senior-level engineers and serve as the DTMEC point of contact for AI Steering Committee initiatives.
• Design: According to the assigned area of responsibility, create and manage wiring models, drawings, bills of material, design charts, and other engineering data of medium complexity using DTNA product structure management and documentation release processes and platforms (NX, CHS, IMACS, IMACS+, ERS+, PLATON). Ensure all software tools, automation solutions, and digital applications comply with DTNA software development, cybersecurity, and data governance standards.
• Validation: Define and coordinate validation activities for software applications, automation tools, and digital solutions supporting Wiring. Verify that new developments, enhancements, and defect resolutions meet functional, quality, cybersecurity, and performance requirements before deployment. Ensure compliance with DTNA software development standards, cybersecurity requirements, and data protection policies. Protect company information, intellectual property, and confidential engineering and project data.
• Deliverables: Deliver assigned software development, automation, and engineering support projects that meet established scope, quality, cost, and schedule requirements, while ensuring compliance with DTNA software development standards, cybersecurity requirements, and customer expectations.
• Issue Resolution: Provide timely containment and permanent corrective solutions to engineering issues while promoting an agile and customer-focused culture across the Global Wiring Organization.
• KPIs: Assure engineering activities support targets for all relevant DTNA Engineering Key Performance Indicators. Promptly address issues in areas of responsibility to contribute to the Operational Excellence in the DTMEC Cab Wiring Group.
• Continuous Improvement: Support the creation and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives through automation, digitalization, and process mapping to enhance KPI performance, improve engineering efficiency, and exceed customer expectations.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with global engineering teams through meetings, design reviews, collaboration platforms, and technical presentations to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
