Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Procurement Professional to join our team in Mexicali. You will manage the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials, drive cost-effective procurement solutions, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support Supply Chain objectives.

The role requires fluent English and Spanish, ERP experience, and a university degree. Occasional travel to the United States may be required. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site and off-site days.

Qualifications

• University degree in a related field; up to 2 years experience.
• 6–12 months Maquiladora experience.
• ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement processes, standards, and plans including RFPs, negotiations, and cost analysis.
• Purchase goods, materials, supplies, and services ensuring best interests of the organization.
• Prepare POs, approve payments, and negotiate prices for smooth procurement.
• Compile price proposals and reports to inform pricing.
• Prepare RFPs and bid packages; monitor contract performance for compliance.

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Procurement Professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Procure-to-Pay process for indirect materials, ensuring timely and efficient purchasing activities that support operational requirements and Supply Chain objectives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost-effective procurement solutions, maintain compliance with company policies, and contribute to continuous process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in supporting business operations while helping drive innovation and excellence in aerospace procurement.

What You Will Do:

• Carries out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. Responds to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest.
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.
• Prepares requests for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts. Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Contacts suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.
• Established and productive professional contributor.
• Has theoretical to advanced knowledge of the work area.
• Problems faced are difficult and may be complex.
• Works autonomously with limited supervision.Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
• Communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with corporate leaders through in-person meetings, presentations, reports, and written correspondence.
• May be required to travel occasionally to the United States to support business needs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field and less of 2 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in Maquiladora environment.
• ERP experience.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Preferable advanced knowledge in Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
