Amphenol Communications Solutions is seeking a Buyer responsible for strategic procurement, supplier relationships, and supply chain activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials for manufacturing. The role involves negotiating contracts, managing POs, and coordinating with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to support production schedules.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Experience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the procurement process for materials, components, equipment, and services for manufacturing operations.
• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, contracts, lead times to achieve best value.
• Create, process, and monitor purchase orders per company policies.

Responsible for the strategic management of procurement, supplier relationships, and supply chain activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, equipment, and services required for manufacturing operations. The Buyer develops sourcing strategies, negotiates commercial agreements, monitors supplier performance, and supports inventory optimization while maintaining the highest standards of quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.

• Manage the procurement process for materials, components, equipment, and services required to support manufacturing operations.
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop strategic suppliers to ensure continuity of supply.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, lead times, and other commercial agreements to achieve the best overall value.
• Create, process, and monitor purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Planning, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to support production requirements.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and proactively resolve supply chain issues that could impact production schedules.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, pricing databases, and procurement documentation.
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, material availability, and cost drivers to support sourcing decisions.
• Support inventory management initiatives by balancing material availability with inventory optimization goals.
• Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and supplier development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, ethical sourcing practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, supplier evaluations, cost-saving results, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related role.
• Experience negotiating with domestic and international suppliers.
• Experience in the electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, logistics, and cost analysis.
• Familiarity with supplier performance metrics and sourcing strategies.
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Planning, organization, and prioritization skills.
• High level of accountability and integrity.
• Ability to develop, document, and communicate procedures, analyses, and performance indicators.
