OPmobility is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Leader to drive the industrialization of new products in an international context. You will manage SOWs, budgets, and cross-functional teams spanning manufacturing, supply chain, packaging and product engineering.

This role emphasizes DFM integration, Lean improvement, and project perf metrics, with global collaboration across engineering and manufacturing. English proficiency is required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical or manufacturing engineering; master’s is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing development and/or manufacturing activities in automotive.
• Project management experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of assembly, paint, packaging and supply chain processes.
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Leadership and cross-functional team management abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering scope through the project lifecycle.
• Define and manage the manufacturing SOW, planning, budget and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain and product engineering.
• Develop and implement manufacturing and industrialization strategies for new launches.
• Ensure DFM requirements are integrated into product development.
• Manage manufacturing project reviews, action plans and progress indicators.
• Monitor metrics like labor efficiency, cycle time and costs.
• Support launch readiness and prepare processes for production requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles and OPmobility standards.
• Capture and share lessons learned to improve manufacturing excellence.

• Scope: International scope with cross-functional collaboration across global engineering, manufacturing and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering scope throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards and profitability targets.


• Define and manage the manufacturing Statement of Work (SOW), project planning, budget and deliverables.


• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Packaging, Paint Process and Product Engineering.


• Develop and implement efficient manufacturing and industrialization strategies for new product launches.


• Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM) requirements are integrated into product development activities.


• Manage manufacturing project reviews, action plans, reporting and project convergence indicators.


• Monitor manufacturing performance metrics such as labor efficiency, cycle time, investments and operational costs.


• Support launch readiness activities and ensure manufacturing processes are prepared to meet customer and production requirements.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles and OPmobility standards.


• Capture, share and implement lessons learned to enhance manufacturing excellence across projects.

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.


• Experience in manufacturing development and/or manufacturing activities within the automotive industry.


• Project management experience in an industrial environment.


• Strong knowledge of assembly, paint, packaging and supply chain processes.


• Knowledge of manufacturing industrialization and production launch activities.


• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.


• Strong leadership and cross-functional team management skills.


• Excellent communication, organization and problem-solving abilities.


• Advanced English required (spoken and written).


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of project management tools is preferred.
