Brand Manager

Camp.us is the home of our creative companies.

About us

Brands & People is a brand-centric company focused on mobilizing commercial brands in Latin America. We steer, innovate, communicate, and maximize brands to accelerate growth. We’re a people‑centric company, too. We believe that propelling the creative careers of our staff results in stronger brands for our clients. Our team is an eclectic mix of brand leaders, creative directors, designers, copywriters, media executives, and brand managers, headed by French strategist Emmanuel Moreau and Mexican designer Gerardo Ortiz.

About you

In this role, your primary focus is to coordinate the team. Your question every morning should be: How can I best organize the team? You are expected to simplify and organize work for everyone by defining deadlines, priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities. You ensure brand objectives are met, by managing everyone’s energy, as well as your own, in a healthy and responsible manner. You work cross‑functionally with various teams, clients, suppliers, the Operations Team, possibly other Brand Executives, Brand Leaders and Partners. You are the go‑to person at all times along the journey. People will seek you out when they have questions on deadlines and priorities. In most agencies this position is called Account Manager. We believe that is a cold name for your role and it reflects a work culture focused on transactions where a brand is treated as an account. We rather treat a brand as a brand. Our purpose in Brands & People is to help our clients on brand building, brand growth and brand transformation.

Key responsibilities
  1. Receive, understand and decode briefs.
  2. Debrief, interpret and communicate project needs and objectives in a timely, simple and clear manner.
  3. Go beyond requests. Inquire and dig deeper on the client’s needs.
  4. Find the best way to deliver, consenting with the team while meeting time frames.
  5. Before committing to any deadline, ask the team about the time and energy needed to accomplish goals.
  6. Define deliverables for every project, seeking guidance and partnering with Brand Leaders and/or Partners.
  7. Negotiating over time and deliverables, with both the team and our clients, making sure objectives are properly met and everyone’s energy and personal time is respected.
  8. Communicate deliverables and time frames to both the team and the client.
  9. Assign tasks and responsibilities depending on who best fits the task.
  10. Elaborate and present simple and powerful presentations to show monthly progress on projects.
  11. Quoting services with suppliers upon request of Brand Leaders or Partners.
Experience & Requirements
  • 4+ years experience in Project Management (Advertising).
  • Capable to understand and explain complex information in simple, clear terms.
  • Loves order and structure.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills. Common sense.
  • Good interpersonal and customer‑care skills.
  • Good accurate records keeping.
  • Neat appearance and good sense of style.
  • Self‑Driven.
