Job summary

North American Production Sharing de México, S.A. de C.V. is seeking an MRO Buyer to manage indirect sourcing for its Tijuana plants, including MRO supplies, tooling, packaging, safety equipment and facility services.

The role focuses on supplier onboarding, RFQs and PO creation in the ERP, with performance reviews guided by the MX SCM Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in purchasing, strong Excel skills, and fluency in Spanish and English, plus ERP experience and knowledge of Mexican

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing/sourcing experience, with at least 2 years buying indirect or MRO materials.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English, written and spoken.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system for POs, receiving and supplier records.
• Working knowledge of Mexican invoicing and fiscal requirements (CFDI, RFC validation).
• Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, lookups and spend analysis.
• Proven negotiation skills with documented cost savings.
• Ability to legally work in Mexico; ability to cross into the U.S. is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and onboard indirect suppliers in Tijuana, Baja California and the broader Mexico/U.S. border region.
• Run RFQs and competitive bids; evaluate quotes on total cost of ownership, lead time, quality and service.
• Convert requisitions to purchase orders in the ERP accurately and on time.
• Manage blanket POs, releases and consignment or vendor-managed inventory programs for high-use MRO items.
• Track supplier on-time delivery, quality and responsiveness; hold regular performance reviews and make decisions to retain or replace suppliers with supervision and direction from the MX SCM Manager.
• Maintain supplier records, contracts, certificates and insurance documentation.
