Genpact in Mexico's Jalisco region seeks a seasoned Senior Accountant to manage general ledger activities, month-end closings, and financial reporting. You will work within a fast-paced, tech-driven finance team and interact with cross-functional groups to ensure accurate, timely results.

The role requires IFRS expertise, SOX awareness, and leadership to supervise accounting tasks and audits. Strong Excel, SAP, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to analyse statements for

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; or verifiable accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar position with accounting responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/IFRS accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Advanced English (B1) and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership.
  • Experience with SAP ERP and consolidating financial statements across entities.

Responsabilidades

  • Attend to activities related to general accounting and record accurate ERP entries.
  • Prepare journal entries and perform month-end closings including currency revaluation and reserves.
  • Manage fixed assets and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Supervise daily accounting activities and the accounting team; collaborate to improve processes.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Consolidate financial statements for corporate reports and present results to leadership.

Responsibilities
  • In charge of attending to all activities related to general accounting performing the appropriate analysis and executing accurate entries in the ERP system according to the monthly calendar of activities.
  • Analysis and preparation of appropriate accounting entries (Journal entries).
  • Month-end closing (accrual calculation, accounting journal posting, currency revaluation, reserve calculation).
  • Perform monthly and annual closings, supervise activities.
  • Uploading financial reports.
  • Detailed analysis of financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
  • Fixed assets.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
  • Reconciliation of accounting accounts.
  • Supervision of the daily accounting activities and the accounting team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support in internal and external audits when necessary.
  • Knowledge of SOX auditing.
  • Support for internal controls and audits.
  • Consolidation of financial statements for corporate reports.
  • Collaboration with other departments to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Prepare and present results to internal and client leadership
  • Constant search for efficiency in the process (Lean Six Sigma Ideas)
  • Management, knowledge and understanding of IFRS/IFRS
Requirements we look for in you!
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related careers, or verifiable experience at least 5 years in a similar position.
  • Advanced English B1
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Verifiable accounting experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and projects.
  • Superior organizational skills and time management.
  • Experience in the area of Record to report.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, has the ability to perform individual checks and correlations.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare financial statements such as balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
  • Knowledge of month-end closing activities, including cash flow statement.
  • Ability to consolidate financial statements of multiple entities.
  • Experience in the preparation and analysis of the cash flow statement.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS/IFRS accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Ability to perform internal and external audits.
