The Standard, Mexico City in the Tabacalera neighborhood is hiring a Barista to set the tone for guests’ mornings with quality coffee and warm service.

We value attention to detail, genuine hospitality, and teamwork. The role focuses on delivering consistent beverages and engaging with an international clientele in English and Spanish.

Formación

• Experience as a Barista in luxury hospitality or high-volume cafés.
• Knowledge of espresso, milk texturing, brewing methods, and equipment.
• Passion for coffee and guest experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
• Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized service to every guest.
• Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and organization at the café and coffee station.
• Ensure all beverages meet The Standard's quality standards.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, inventory, and stock replenishment.
• Collaborate with culinary and front-of-house teams to provide a seamless guest experience.
• Stay curious about coffee trends and brewing techniques to elevate guest experience.

We’re looking for a Barista who believes that a great cup of coffee can set the tone for an entire day. We’re searching for someone who brings warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality to every interaction—someone who knows that the smallest rituals often create the strongest connections.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and consistency.
• Deliver warm, engaging, and personalized service to every guest.
• Maintain exceptional presentation, cleanliness, and organization throughout the café and coffee station.
• Ensure all beverages meet The Standard's quality and presentation standards.
• Assist with daily opening and closing procedures, inventory, and stock replenishment.
• Collaborate with the culinary and front-of-house teams to provide a seamless guest experience.
• Stay curious about coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge to continually elevate the guest experience.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

• Previous experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee shop, luxury hotel, café, or high-volume hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk texturing, brewing methods, and coffee equipment.
• A passion for coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish, with the ability to confidently assist an international clientele.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn and grow.
• A genuine passion for delivering thoughtful service in every cup.
