Etsy, Inc. is hiring a Software Engineer II to own backend/API work for a multidisciplinary app team.

You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems for Etsy's mobile app, collaborating with native engineers and cross‑functional partners to deliver features that drive user growth. This full‑time role reports to the App T Engineering Manager and includes an equity package, annual performance bonus, and competitive benefits.

Formación

• 3 years of professional backend or full‑stack development experience in a product‑minded environment.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (PHP, Java, Python, Node.js, Ruby).
• Experience with API design and development (RESTful APIs preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and implement robust backend systems and APIs for Etsy's mobile app
• Collaborate with native engineers to integrate new features
• Partner with cross‑functional teams (product, design, etc.)
• Write clean, well‑documented code and participate in code reviews
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and technical issues
• Prototype, optimize, and deploy large‑scale product improvements
• Run experiments and use data to validate product improvements
• Role May include other tasks and evolve with business needs
