Contract Duration: 6-12 months (with possibility to extend)

Compensation: $70,000 MXN / month

About the Role

Value2Biz is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join the Azure Platform Services team within the Information Technology Division. In this role, you will design, build, deploy, and support cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure environments, including AI-enabled applications and enterprise platform services.

You will contribute to cloud modernization, platform reliability, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence while collaborating with senior engineers, architects, and cross-functional IT teams.

The ideal candidate combines hands‑on Azure engineering expertise with strong automation, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills. Experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI services, and cloud‑native application development is highly desirable.

Important: This position requires working on‑site five days a week in the industrial park Logistik in San Luis Potosí, Mexico

Key Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, migrate, and manage Microsoft Azure PaaS solutions, including App Services, Azure Functions, databases, storage, and integration services.
• Implement and support Azure services based on business and technical requirements.
• Work with Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI services to support AI‑enabled solutions and cloud‑based applications.
• Follow enterprise architecture standards, cloud governance policies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.

Automation & DevOps

• Develop automated infrastructure deployment and configuration solutions using PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI, JSON, YAML, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Create reusable templates and standardized deployment processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Use ARM templates and other Azure automation tools to streamline cloud provisioning and operations.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot complex Azure platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor cloud applications and services to maintain availability, performance, and reliability.
• Support production environments and collaborate with global technical teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and assist with knowledge transfer, onboarding, and platform adoption.

Security & Operational Excellence

• Apply cloud security best practices, including Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC), Managed Identities, Azure Key Vault, and network security controls.
• Support monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Participate in architecture reviews, cloud governance initiatives, and operational improvement projects.
• Assist with integrated testing and customer acceptance testing to ensure high‑quality deployments.

Required Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure in cloud engineering, application development, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations.
• Experience with Azure PaaS services, such as:
• Azure App Services and Azure Functions
• Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI services
• Azure Service Bus and Event Hubs
• Azure Storage and integration services
• Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, JSON, YAML, or Azure CLI.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment practices.
• Knowledge of cloud security, identity management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently, manage technical assignments, and resolve complex problems.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Availability to support occasional off‑hours or weekend activities when required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-900, AZ-104, AZ-500, AI-900, or other relevant Azure AI certifications.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry, AI model integration, or AI‑enabled application development.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Experience collaborating with IT Security teams on compliance, cloud governance, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong English communication skills in a global or multinational IT environment.
