Placements24 seeks an Aircraft Navigation and Communication Technician in Cancún, Mexico. You will install, test, and repair navigation and communication systems on various aircraft, ensuring compliance with FAA/DGAC standards.

Qualifications

• AMT with Avionics specialization or equivalent technical degree
• 3+ years of experience with navigation and communication systems
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics equipment
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment and diagnostic software
• Strong understanding of RF, digital electronics, and aircraft electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; good communication in Spanish; English a plus
• Must obtain and maintain required certifications and security clearances

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, adjust and repair navigation and communication systems
• Diagnose avionics malfunctions using diagnostic tools and test equipment
• Interpret manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and drawings
• Calibrate navigation systems (GPS, INS, autopilots)
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer specs, FAA/DGAC regulations and standards
• Maintain records of maintenance and repairs
• Collaborate with flight crews and maintenance staff for timely repairs
• Stay updated on avionics technologies and advancements
