Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 4–6 years of automotive product development experience.
• Experience with power distribution, grounding, circuit protection, wire sizing, and schematics.
• Proficient with 3D CAD tools (CATIA V5, AutoCAD, NX, Harness XC).
• Ability to perform circuit simulations and electrical calculations.
• Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies (5 Why, 8D, Six Sigma).

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requirements and RFQ documentation to evaluate feasibility.
• Develop and document electrical system designs including schematics, topology, power distribution, grounding, wire sizing, and protection device selection.
• Analyze vehicle and harness complexity and optimize system architecture for cost, weight, and quality.
• Perform circuit simulations, electrical calculations, and architecture optimization studies.
• Create and maintain logical and physical schematics, vehicle-level topology, and engineering documentation.
• Use 3D CAD tools to create and maintain product data and models per customer requirements.
• Select components and develop assemblies meeting specifications.
• Perform design and data release checks for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with validation teams to verify requirements through load surveys and analyses.
• Support root cause analysis and problem-solving using 5 Why, 8D, or Six Sigma.
• Participate in benchmarking, warranty analysis, cost-reduction initiatives, and VAVE activities.
• Provide technical support during prototype builds, vehicle builds, and product launches.
