Cooper Standard is seeking a Designer responsible for creating end items and component math data (3D/2D) within the CAD environment under engineering direction in our Torreón facility.

The role emphasizes knowledge of automotive design, CAD software, and PLM concepts, with responsibilities spanning drawing production, standard adherence, and collaboration with engineers and suppliers to meet stringent timelines.

Formación

• Two year CAD education required.
• Typically has two plus years of experience.
• Knowledge of NX, CATIA V5, SolidWorks and Teamcenter OEM configuration.
• Knowledge of GD&T and application for specific product lines.
• Demonstrates selection of appropriate design solutions to meet the needs of the product.
• Ability to explain moderately complex information to others in a conscientious manner.
• Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary.

Responsabilidades

• Create and maintain 3D math data and 2D drawings as required for customer manufacturing and internal engineering standards.
• Build knowledge in best practices, processes and customers through ongoing professional development.
• Create assembly and component drawings conforming to customer and company standards/design guidelines.
• Assist engineers in the design of major vehicle systems, assemblies or components in manufacturability and cost considerations.
• Mentor and support new designers.
• Perform engineering design studies from OEM/Tier customer environments, sketches, and models or verbal instructions.
• Technical interfaces with the customer, design, manufacturing plants, testing and suppliers as required.
• Estimate timing required to perform CAD related assignments and meet customer timing.
