What will you do?
  • Release projects to manufacturing by creating bills of materials, electrical schematics (CAD), point-to-point interconnects, and application-specific programs.
  • Maintain drawing and program revisions through Engineering Change Notices/Orders.
  • Ensure transfer switch products meet market specifications and safety regulations.
  • Generate fabrication documentation by researching custom specifications, industry standards, and evaluating manufacturing methods.
  • Provide engineering support to Applications Engineering and other internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the factory to resolve discrepancies between design and fabrication (root cause analysis, quality issues, customer complaints, troubleshooting).
  • Support the continuous engineering team in maintaining existing product offerings.
  • Propose engineering changes to improve product quality, productivity, or safety.
  • Coordinate and expedite part replacements.
  • Act as the first technical support contact for the plant.
  • Represent engineering functions during Factory Witness Tests when required.
  • Stay current on new products, trends, and development opportunities.
  • Embrace a Lean mindset focused on continuous experimentation and waste reduction.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Familiarity with ASCO Automatic Transfer Switches is preferred.

  • You will report to the Engineering Manager at the Reynosa ASCO Plant. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering team, working closely with manufacturing, applications engineering, and quality teams. This is an individual contributor role with high visibility and impact across multiple stakeholders.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • English advanced
  • Experience in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio).
  • Knowledge of ProEngineer/PTC Creo is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ASCO Automatic Transfer Switches is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a Product Engineering or similar technical role.
