Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of employment.
• Commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and ethics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration with the team.

Responsibilities

• Builds rapport with clients by gathering information, listening and empathizing.
• Performs exams and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures delivering high-quality care.
• Communicates with clients on diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive care and nutrition.
• Maintains client/patient medical records and logs per protocol.
• Stays current on medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
• Supports paraprofessional team to ensure top-quality care and service.
• Presents a positive image of the hospital to the professional community.
