Job Description Overview

• Assist with patient care and treatment.

• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Aiding with routine diagnostic tests (e.g., taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading fecal samples).
• Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment.
• Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas.
• Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision.
• Feed and bathe animals.
• Answer phones.
• Help clients with their pets.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must be a self‑starter, able to multitask and work well in a team.
• Enjoy working with animals and can handle stressed, ill or painful animals.
• Preferred 1+ years of experience, but not required.
• Ability to meet physical demands: lifting, carrying, restraining animals (may assist with animals over 40 lbs., but must lift 40 lbs. independently).
• Walks or stands for extended periods; frequently works in bent or squatting positions.
• Experienced in a teamwork approach and works well with all levels of staff.
