Formación

Associate, Tax - Shared Service Center

Individuals at this level normally have a college degree with a major in accounting or a business field. They have zero to three years of experience, which may include an internship.

Responsibilities
  • Become familiar with firm policies and procedures.
  • Understand the rules, regulations and code of professional conduct of the AICPA.
  • Exhibit or develop the skills and characteristics delineated in the Firm’s Evaluation Forms.
  • Become familiar with pertinent IRC sections and regulations.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of research techniques and the various research sources in the firm library.
  • Become proficient in the preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, and other tax returns prepared by the firm.
  • Assume responsibility for the completion of tax returns under the supervision of more experienced staff.
  • Prepare individual, corporate and partnership tax returns of varying complexities.
  • Perform services within budgeted time by developing technical, time management and organizational skills.
  • Develop knowledge of all the computer software used in the tax department.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year‑end estimates.
  • Draft response letters to IRS and state notices when needed.
  • Make adjusting entries and complete a trial balance in order to prepare business returns.
  • Perform accounting/bookkeeping functions when needed.
  • Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround, and attentive service.
  • Create a quality work product by following the firm’s processes and procedures.
  • Participate in firm training courses to help develop technical training skills.
  • Develop sound work relationships with administrative personnel, peers, and managers to foster teamwork.
  • Assist managers with special projects when needed.
