Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Product Development Engineer for our Laundry Structures and Package team in Monterrey area. You will drive global mechanical structures and packaging components across multiple projects, coordinating with design, manufacturing and QA teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a mechanical engineering background, Creo CAD experience, and strong project management. English proficiency and a team-oriented, results-driven mindset are essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering or related field.
• 1–3+ years of experience in product development.
• Proficiency in English (read, write and speak).
• Sound structural knowledge and problem solving.
• Hands on experience in CAD tools (Creo preferred).
• Strong project management with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Team player and results oriented with strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Drive New Product Development / Cost & Quality projects for Laundry cabinets and packaging components.
• Define and own technical specifications for Cabinet and Package components.
• Support global projects and lead implementation efforts.
• Lead projects coordinating with multiple areas of the company.
• Manage several projects simultaneously and push to production using PM tools.
• Concept development, design creation, evaluation, verification and production implementation.

The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

This Role In Summary

Whirlpool is looking for a Product Development Engineer for our Laundry Structures and Package team. The engineer will be responsible for global Laundry Mechanical Structures and Package subsystem deliverables, including development, execution, verification and validation, working with global cross functional teams during various phases of projects and across various technologies such as structural mechanics, sheet metal design, EPS design, rubber, glass, etc.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Drive New Product Development / Cost & Quality projects for the Laundry business with a focus on structural components (Cabinet components) and Develop and package components
• Responsibility for the technical specification for all Cabinet and Package components
• Support global projects and be responsible to lead implementation projects.
• Lead projects doing a Interaction with many different areas of the company
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to implementation using the project management tools by closely working with design, product approval, manufacturing, assembling and interface teams.
• Concept development, design creation, concept evaluation & selection, verification & validation and implementation into production.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Production / Automobile Engineering or related field
• 1-3+ years of experience in product development in related field
• Proficiency in English language (Read, write and speak)
• Sound structural knowledge and hands on experience in problem solving
• Hands on experience in any CAD tools (Creo is preferred)
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects parallely
• Team player
• Result oriented
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. This includes the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Whirlpool’s organization

Preferred Skills And Experiences

• Masters degree with related experience would be a plus.
• Opex/Six Sigma experience.
• Strong sense of accountability and personal commitment.
• Soft skill: Communication thoughts the global organization / Summary report project
• Knowledge of Risk Management and Project Management
