Placements24 invites a seasoned data privacy lawyer to establish and lead the company's data protection function in a fully remote role across Mexico. Qualifications

• Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) from a recognized institution.
• Advanced degree or specialization in Data Privacy Law or Technology Law is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience focusing on data privacy and protection, preferably within a technology or multinational company.
• In-depth knowledge of the Mexican Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its regulations.
• Familiarity with international data protection frameworks such as GDPR is a significant advantage.
• Proven experience in developing privacy policies, conducting DPIAs, and managing data subject rights.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage complex projects in a remote work environment.
• Strong ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global data privacy compliance program.
• Advise on data privacy law across collection, processing, storage, transfer, and deletion.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and privacy reviews for new products and services.
• Draft and update privacy notices, consent forms, and data processing agreements.
