Placements24 is seeking a visionary Cloud Networking Solutions Architect to design and implement our next-generation cloud networking infrastructure for global operations. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in network engineering, with 3+ years in cloud networking architecture, deep AWS/Azure/GCP experience, and IaC expertise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 7+ years of network engineering experience with 3+ years in cloud networking architecture.
• Experience designing virtual networks, subnets, routing, firewalls, and VPNs in AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Strong SDN understanding and IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.

Job description

Our client is seeking a visionary Arquitecto de Soluciones de Redes para la Nube to spearhead the design and implementation of our next-generation cloud networking infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Mexico. You will be responsible for defining the architecture of our cloud-based networks, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability across multiple cloud platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud networking concepts, distributed systems, and advanced networking technologies. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions that support our client's global operations. Key Responsibilities

Designing and architecting highly available, scalable, and secure network solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Defining network connectivity strategies between on-premises environments and cloud services. Developing and implementing cloud network security policies and controls. Evaluating and selecting appropriate cloud networking services and technologies. Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate network solutions with application deployments. Providing expert guidance on network performance optimization and cost management in the cloud. Troubleshooting complex network issues in cloud environments. Documenting network architectures, standards, and best practices for cloud environments. Staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in cloud networking and telecommunications.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on cloud networking architecture. Deep expertise in designing and managing virtual networks, subnets, routing, firewalls, and VPNs within AWS, Azure, or GCP. Strong understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles and technologies. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their networking implications. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting. Experience in designing large-scale, global network architectures is highly valued. Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are a strong plus.
