About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly imaginative and skilled Arquitecto/a de Diseño Conceptual y Pre-diseño to drive the early stages of innovative architectural projects in Hermosillo, Sonora . This role is ideal for a creative thinker who excels at translating initial ideas and client needs into compelling conceptual designs and feasibility studies. You will be responsible for exploring diverse design possibilities, developing unique architectural expressions, and establishing the foundational design direction for significant projects. Your ability to visualize and articulate design concepts effectively will be key to securing client buy-in and setting projects on a path to success. Key Responsibilities

Lead the conceptual design phase for a variety of architectural projects, exploring innovative solutions. Develop design narratives, mood boards, sketches, and preliminary 3D models to communicate design vision. Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and programming to inform conceptual designs. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and aspirations. Present conceptual designs and proposals to clients and internal stakeholders, articulating the design rationale. Research and integrate emerging architectural trends, technologies, and materials into conceptual frameworks. Work with the pre-design team to ensure that conceptual designs are practical and aligned with project goals. Contribute to the development of design briefs and project scopes.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture. Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural design, with a significant focus on conceptualization and pre-design. Exceptional creativity, strong artistic talent, and a proven ability to generate unique design ideas. Proficiency in conceptual design tools, including sketching, 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino), and presentation software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills. Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into tangible design concepts. Strong understanding of architectural principles, history, and theory. Experience working in the Sonora region is an advantage.
