Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Cuautitlán Izcalli to lead and develop a team of 50 to 200 Amazon Associates in a fulfillment center. You will motivate, mentor, and coach your squad, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on shift.

This role requires flexible hours including weekends and overnight shifts, a Bachelor's degree, and proven people-management experience. English fluency is required to communicate with global teams, and an MBA or Lean/Six Sigma background is a plus.

As an Area Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop your own team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your main focus will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team. As a servant leader, the Area Manager will ensure that their team of Amazon Associates have all the tools needed to succeed for any task during a shift.

Job Requirements

Locations and Placement

The position is NOT a corporate role and will be located in a Fulfillment Center

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 50 to 200 Amazon Associates

• Create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs
• Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all Associates

• Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
• Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English, and have the ability to take direction in English

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or Master's degree
• Experience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, or experience in similar environments
• Experience with project management
• Experience developing and implementing KPI goals and strategies based on broader organization goals
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, operations, logistics, supply chain or engineering
• Experience in a logistics/operations environment
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English at C1 level or above
