Carl Zeiss Visión Manufactura de México, S. de R.L. de C.V. seeks an experienced Process Engineer to support coating processes and the manufacture of optical products in Tijuana and nearby facilities.

You will drive installation, validation, and optimization of processes and equipment, perform troubleshooting, training, and reporting, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, R&D, and Technical Support; travel will be frequent.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Physics, Optics, or a related field.
  • Experience in process engineering, manufacturing, laboratory operations, or technical support.
  • Experience with coating processes, surface treatment, or similar industrial processes.
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Experience in process validation, qualification, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving tools.
  • Previous experience providing technical support and customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare technical reports and process documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and independently.
  • Strong communication and technical training skills.
  • Advanced English proficiency, C1 level, required.
  • Valid U.S. visa and valid passport required.
  • Availability for frequent domestic and international travel.
  • Analytical mindset, results-oriented approach, and ability to solve complex technical problems.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide specialized support for coating processes and the manufacturing of optical products.
  • Participate in the implementation, installation, validation, and optimization of processes and equipment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues related to processes, equipment, materials, and quality.
  • Perform technical testing, process validations, and evaluations of materials and consumables.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • Participate in process assessments, technical audits, and capability reviews.
  • Prepare technical reports, protocols, procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Provide technical training to internal personnel, customers, and production or maintenance teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Research & Development, and Technical Support teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, standardization, and process optimization projects.
  • Support product and process validation and testing activities within laboratory and manufacturing environments.
  • Willingness to work in office, laboratory, manufacturing plant, and customer site environments.
