Overview

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Applications and Product Engineer to sustain and/or improve product yield, quality, reliability, safety, legal and environmental compliance. Transfer new products.

Responsibilities

• The actual KJEs may include all, some or more of the followings:
• Lead production by resolving material problems & software related issues
• Improve product yield & quality
• Support new product / variation / ECO activities
• Initiative & drive cost reduction issues
• Participate in employee involvement teams
• Improve customer satisfaction and reduce linepull / warranty to meet targets
• Handle special projects
• Modify & debug test software (if applicable)
• Ensure all prints meet the revision
• Lead in change management process

Qualifications

Education/Experience Qualifications

Schooling: Bachelor/Master Electronics/Mechatronic Engineering Degree

Experience: 5 years in a similar position including a strong background of electronics, microprocessors and mechanical assemblies.

Experience using GD&T, mechanical assemblies, gear systems. Knowledge of lab tools like digital oscilloscope, curve tracer, simulators is a plus.

Technical knowledge :

Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole Technology processes. Ability to address past supplier response times, resolve customer application related product problems, and access accurate product information.

Other requirements :

Limited networking and exposure to identify key areas for upgrading (knowledge, process, equipment).

Travel Availability: Yes Frequency: Quarterly
