Sr. Analyst Programmer (IBM Sterling EDI / Gentran)

🎯 Role Objective
Provide analysis, development, and support for the organization’s EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integrations, primarily using the IBM Sterling Integrator (Gentran) platform. The role ensures proper implementation and maintenance of system interfaces, supporting global customer and partner operations in complex integration environments.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- Analyze technical and functional requirements for EDI projects.
- Develop, configure, and maintain integrations in IBM Sterling Integrator / Gentran.
- Identify, document, and resolve technical incidents while meeting SLA targets.
- Implement preventive and corrective actions to avoid recurring issues.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation (code, processes, flows).
- Collaborate with QA teams to validate deliverables.
- Communicate progress, risks, and resolutions to project leads or internal clients.
- Contribute to internal training sessions (“brown-bag sessions”) and continuous improvement initiatives.
🧰 Technical & Academic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in analysis and development using IBM Sterling Integrator / Gentran.
- Strong understanding of communication protocols (SFTP, AS2, etc.).
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Working knowledge of CMMI and structured development methodologies.
- Preferred experience in global integration environments with multiple clients.
