Objective of the position: Treasury Operations and Cash Management for NAFTA entities, focusing on Mexico. Oversee daily settlement and confirmation for financial transactions and derivatives, including documentation, rate fixing, and contract administration. Manage bank accounts for Mexico entities, handling correspondence, document administration, bank fee analysis, and reconciliation. Maintain lists of authorized signers and dealers for Mexico entities. Support payment-related topics, ensuring timely execution of industrial payments and managing payment & bank reporting systems. Administer online banking platforms for NAFTA entities, including user rights. Act as the main contact for Mexico entities, liaising between entities, Treasury, and Mexican counterparties. Innovate payment processes for Mexico entities and manage relationships with banks to set up and enhance cash management products and services. Collaborate with cash management and treasury operation specialists to monitor, control, and develop processes for high‑quality cash management functions such as Cash Positioning, Daily Cash Reconciliation.
Responsibilities
- Cash Positioning: Monitor and manage daily cash balances to ensure optimal liquidity; forecast cash needs; coordinate with various departments; request cash transfers; manage bank accounts to optimize cash positioning.
- Daily Cash Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation of cash transactions; investigate and resolve discrepancies; maintain detailed records; prepare reconciliation reports.
- Support Treasury Operations Specialist with confirmation and settlement process: Manage daily settlement and confirmation process within the Treasury Management System; documentation, fixing and administration of treasury‑related processes; ensure adherence to policies.
- Administration of signing, trading and other authorizations.
- Support Treasury Operations Specialist with development of robust cash management methodologies and processes; implement new bank technologies, products and services; reassess bank account and cash‑flow structure; set up payment platforms for all Daimler Mexico and group companies.
- Support Treasury Operations Specialist with Bank Account Inventory for Mexico: Execute and organize yearly bank account inventory; coordinate communication with entities and central bank account team; prepare documents; upload to internal banking system.
- IT‑related responsibilities: provide support to users on specific databases; maintain applications and databases; document server and connectivity setup; encryptions; conduct user‑level developments; coordinate testing of payment files and connections.
- Support Treasury Operations Specialist with Industrial Payments NAFTA: Release industrial payments; support related entities; reconcile activities.
- Payment Processes: Analyze and evaluate existing payment processes; optimize to minimize fault rate.
- Reporting: Initiate all related fee payments; entries to guaranteed system; support Treasury Operations Specialist with Bank System Management; administer user rights for online banking; yearly review of users; ensure auditability.
- Bank Account Administration Mexico: Correspond with internal and external partners; open, close, and manage bank accounts for holding companies and affiliates; prepare documents and maintain compliance.
- Support Treasury Operations Specialist with all US, Canadian and Mexican entities on Treasury operations topics; assist with contingency plan; support ICs reporting; prepare Internal Control over Financial Reporting documentation.
Requirements
- Accounting: Knowledge of internal controls, recording and reporting of financial transactions, including origination, recognition, processing, and summarization in the financial statements.
- Administration: Knowledge of administrative procedures, process/project development, and system procedures.
- Business General: Knowledge of fundamental business practices and concepts that impact the success and profitability of the organization.
- Finance: Knowledge and understanding of the implications of key financial indicators and controls and assessing impact of financial information.
- English level: B2 Intermediate Advanced.
