About the Role

Assuring the material supply for production plan for service and pilot parts as required for the different customers on time, quantity and with the best cost of transportation, by effective analysis of the demand, inventory and the correct communication with the supplier, always focused on improving team performance and oriented to not disturbing the production schedule plan. Creating a sustainable process & strategies related to material planning, inventory control and cost reduction.

What You Will Do
  • Make daily analysis of inventory levels to avoid any shortages of components.
  • Make analysis to releases week by week to detect demand variations together with the Scheduler and customer analyst as required.
  • Make weekly planning orders to supplier base according to current customer demand for service parts for the different customers.
  • Make shortage analysis of components for pilot build and follow up arrival on time.
  • Coordinate with other areas as scheduling, customer analyst and PM for procurement of components per pilot build timing.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to improve lead‑time, minimum order quantities and cost together with procurement area as needed.
  • Assure the communication and control with the supplier and procurement area as needed.
  • Assure the good receipt of the material in the warehouse.
  • Assure in collaboration with customs and logistics team the arrival on time for the material.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency of labor.
  • Assure high level of data and transactional integrity in the ERP system to achieve high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Minimize freight and premium freight services through the proper planning processes.
  • Implement lean manufacturing techniques as related to material handling and control.
  • Lead and ensure proper obsolescence disposal, coordination with other areas as applicable.
  • In addition, other activities assigned by the direct supervisor or Sr. Manager.

  • 3–5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in the automotive industry preferably.
  • Experience with transfer of projects or production lines.
  • Experience with engineering change implementation, exhaust of materials and/or last‑time‑build calculations preferably.
  • Knowledge of ERP‑SAP systems.
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions.
  • Advance English level at least 80% (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations).
