Vertiv in Reynosa, MX, seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead digital manufacturing and OT systems transformation across the campus.

You will deploy OT infrastructure, enable real-time manufacturing intelligence, and drive Industry 4.0 initiatives while collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT and Automation teams.

Formación

  • Must have experience with MES/ERP integration and OT coordination.
  • Experience deploying Industry 4.0 solutions and OT networks is required.
  • Strong data analytics, KPI development, and real-time dashboards.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for OT/IT convergence is preferred.

Job Description

The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer – Digital Manufacturing & OT Systems is responsible for leading the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across the Reynosa campus through deployment of Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure, manufacturing data connectivity, analytics platforms, digital work instructions, traceability systems, and Industry 4.0 solutions. This role serves as the bridge between Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, and Automation teams to improve visibility, productivity, quality, and decision‑making through connected factory technologies.


The position will support the Reynosa AME Digital Manufacturing Pillar and contribute directly to the AME roadmap by deploying OT network capabilities, enabling real‑time manufacturing intelligence, increasing OEE visibility, and driving factory digitalization initiatives.


Business Unit Job Summary

Provide strategic digital manufacturing leadership, deployment, and support specific to the Reynosa facility’s operations. Enable digital manufacturing, OT infrastructure deployment, and analytics across product pillars. Lead integration of MES, ERP, and OT systems to ensure seamless data flow and actionable insights, while aligning with AME digital objectives and site‑specific needs.


Responsibilities


  • Support execution of the Reynosa Digital Manufacturing roadmap aligned with AME strategic objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to digitize manual manufacturing processes and eliminate paper‑based systems.

  • Develop and maintain digital manufacturing standards across all product families.

  • Support implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies throughout manufacturing operations.

  • Lead deployment and expansion of the Operational Technology (OT) network across manufacturing areas.

  • Coordinate connectivity of production equipment, automation assets, sensors, PLCs, and manufacturing systems.

  • Partner with Corporate IT and OT teams to ensure cybersecurity compliance and network reliability.

  • Develop equipment connectivity standards and architecture documentation.

  • Support integration of manufacturing equipment into enterprise systems.

  • Develop manufacturing dashboards and KPI visualization tools.

  • Implement real‑time production monitoring systems.

  • Support deployment of OEE monitoring across critical manufacturing assets.

  • Create automated reporting solutions that improve operational visibility.

  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.

  • Deploy and maintain digital work instructions.

  • Support traceability system implementation.

  • Develop electronic manufacturing records and paperless workflows.

  • Support MES, ERP, and OT system integration initiatives.

  • Improve manufacturing data accuracy and accessibility.

  • Support automation projects through machine connectivity and data acquisition.

  • Collaborate with Automation Engineers to enable smart manufacturing capabilities.

  • Develop machine performance monitoring systems.

  • Support predictive maintenance and condition monitoring initiatives.

  • Evaluate emerging digital technologies for manufacturing applications.

  • Assess current digital skill gaps within manufacturing teams.

  • Develop training materials for digital manufacturing tools.

  • Coach manufacturing personnel on utilization of available digital resources.

  • Promote data‑driven decision‑making throughout operations.

  • Build organizational competency in Industry 4.0 technologies.
