Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Software Engineers in Mérida to build, evaluate, and improve AI-generated code for safer and more reliable AI coding assistants. This is a hands-on, fully remote hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week and flexible scheduling.

You will write, review, and reason about code, explaining decisions clearly. You will work across languages like Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, and TypeScript, applying data structures and algorithms knowledge to improve AI outputs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages listed above.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent written communication.
• Ability to work independently and asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and frameworks.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and efficiency.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured feedback explaining code quality.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Compare and rank AI-generated solutions based on engineering quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
