CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center) is seeking an Assistant Station Manager to coordinate research agronomic management activities at the Agua Fria Research Station in Puebla. The role focuses on optimizing resources to achieve program goals, enhancing efficiency, and reducing operational costs.

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and possess 3-5 years of experience. Key responsibilities include overseeing research plots, coordinating data collection, and managing operational workflows.

The compensation package includes a year-end bonus, life insurance, and additional benefits per Mexican Labor Law.

Formación

• 3-5 years working experience in related field.
• Basic understanding of plant physiology.
• Understanding of soil science including soil fertility.
• Familiarity with field plot techniques and methodologies.
• Intermediate level of English (B1–B2 on CEFR).

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Station Manager in overseeing agronomic management.
• Coordinate pollination and data collection for nurseries.
• Assist in managing staffing needs and recruitment.
• Support in developing and implementing planting calendar.
• Organize and oversee harvest and seed processing.
• Manage maize doubled haploid operations.
• Take on station management responsibilities when needed.
