Job summary

Bombardier Aerospace Mexico (B.A.M) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to lead structural and systems installation design for multiple aircraft programs. You will create installation drawings and detail models in CATIA V5, and collaborate with Stress, Materials, Systems, and Manufacturing teams across sites.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years in aerospace installation design; fluent English and French are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in structural and systems installation design for aerospace.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 and sheet metal parts design.
Experience with multi-site collaboration and meeting design deadlines.
Strong analytical and editorial skills in English and French.
Knowledge of composites design is an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical design using CATIA V5 and oversee detail drawings.
Interpret specifications to develop designs meeting requirements.
Support production on Bombardier programs (Challenger 350/650, Global 5500/6500/7500).
Resolve airframe and systems issues providing technical support across sites.
Collaborate with Stress, Materials & Processes, Systems, Design, Quality, and Operations.
Plan projects to meet schedules and budgets.
Work with internal and external suppliers to support manufacturing.
