Position Overview:

The AP Specialist processes, records, verifies, and pays invoices for goods and services on a timely basis.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the daily processing of overhead invoices into the accounts payable system.
  • Process, record, verify, and pay invoices for goods and services on a timely basis.
  • Prepare and audit payments sent via check, ACH, and wires.
  • Respond to vendor queries, reconcile vendor statements, and communicate with vendors regarding payment status.
  • Manage and maintain positive internal customer and external business partner relationships.
  • Assist in month-end closing process for AP work queues.
  • Maintain customer and customer credit master records.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
  • Complete supplier credit applications.
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations regarding vendor payments.
  • Sort and distribute mail.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant educational background and professional experience in finance or accounting.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years previous bookkeeping and accounting experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on achieving results.
  • Focus on delivering exceptional customer service experience for both internal customers and external business partners.
