Trimble Applanix is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage essential financial processes, optimize month-end activities, and ensure cross-functional compliance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will handle invoicing, tax reporting, AR, fixed assets, and journal entries to support global precision navigation technologies.

Formación

  • Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with members of the Applanix team and other departments.
  • Sound professional judgment and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

  • Process customer invoices and credit memos accurately and on a timely basis, ensuring they are distributed to the appropriate contacts.
  • Ensure customer invoices comply with applicable U.S. and Canadian sales tax requirements and prepare monthly sales tax reports.
  • Manage and apply customer deposit invoices.
  • Monitor aged accounts receivable and bad debt reserves, and follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.
  • Apply cheque and credit card transactions to customer accounts and process credit card payments in accordance with standardized procedures that protect confidential and sensitive information.
  • Investigate and resolve customer inquiries and account-related issues.
  • Maintain fixed asset sub-ledgers, including recording additions, disposals, transfers, and other changes.
  • Calculate and record monthly depreciation.
  • Prepare and post month-end journal entries, including foreign exchange gains and losses, accruals, and allocations.
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and fixed asset sub-ledgers accurately as part of the month-end close process.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable activities.
  • Perform other accounting duties and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

What Makes This Role Great

The Financial Accountant will help maintain accurate and efficient financial processes while establishing and following best practices that align with Trimble’s policies and requirements. The role will also involve collaborating with teams across the organization to ensure that cross-functional processes, financial controls, and procedures operate effectively and efficiently.

Key Exciting Responsibilities
  • Process customer invoices and credit memos accurately and on a timely basis, ensuring they are distributed to the appropriate contacts.
