A multinational power management company is seeking a Supervisor for Accounting Processes in León, Mexico. The role involves supervising the monthly closing process, financial reporting, and compliance, along with managing a dedicated team. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with 3-5 years’ experience in finance/accounting, preferably within a Big 4 firm. A sound understanding of Mexican statutory reporting and tax regulations is essential for success in this role.

Formación

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in finance/accounting and auditing within a Big 4 Firm as Senior Auditor or supervisor in a multinational company.
  • Knowledge of Mexican statutory reporting requirements essential; sound understanding of Tax regulation.
  • Exposure to US GAAP/MEX GAAP reporting requirements.

Job Summary

Supervise the Accounting Processes for the GFSS, coordination of supporting team.

Conduct the monthly closing process.

Perform Balance sheet Review, Maintain SOX and Internal Audit compliance as required.

Perform and Coordinates monthly balance sheet reviews.

Supervise the year-end Mexico compliance, and financial reporting.

Manage and champion ad hoc projects as needed.

The position drives continuous improvement in accounting while utilizing the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS).

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise the monthly closing process for corporate sites ledgers running under Oracle system
  • Supervise the correct recording and Reconciliation for ICA and Treasury process for sites under Oracle.
  • Review the payroll transactions booked into Oracle for corporate sites
  • Review the Balance Sheet Reconciliations prepared for the corporate sites, the Fixed Assets Reconciliations and the Intercompany Reconciliations.
  • Supervise the Intercompany transactions prepared fo the different sites running under Oracle.
  • Support and / or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.
  • Supervise the Fixed Assets for Acquisitions and Depreciations.
  • Supervise Intercompany Transactions, supervise Income / Invoicing Records and Control AR and AP accounts for the corporate Sites.
  • Perform payment transactions on e-banking.
  • Develops the financial function and personnel into customer-oriented professionals with responsibility for developing and improving local and corporate policies, standards and agreements, technical accounting expertise, controls and business systems in conjunction with local requirements and WHQ guidelines.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement to achieve departmental and GFSS goals.
Support site, functional or corporate initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Internal Control Audit and Statutory Audits for the corporate Oracle sites and activities under the scope.
  • Other activities assigned by supervisor or special requirements from management or company.
  • Maintain safe, clean working environment in compliance with all Eaton safety standards, Life Saving Rules, and daily 5S+ requirements to help build a Zero Incident Culture.
