Roquette Group in Querétaro, México seeks an Accounting Analyst to ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with policies and standards.

The role supports month-end and year-end closings, prepares reconciliations, supervises payroll entries, and collaborates with stakeholders to improve processes and financial reporting quality. Fluency in Portuguese and English is required, and ERP and Excel proficiency are essential.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with working knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and corporate financial tools, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
  • Advanced to Fluent Portuguese and English proficiency (Required). Language skills assessed during interview.

Responsabilidades

  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling balance sheet accounts, income statement accounts, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations, analyses, and supporting schedules, ensuring balances are properly supported and outstanding items are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the preparation and reporting of monthly closing results, ensuring financial information is complete, accurate, and submitted within established deadlines.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll-related accounting entries, accruals, and tax provisions through ERP and payroll reports, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and accounting standards.
  • Maintain and reconcile employee and vendor advance accounts, ensuring timely settlement and accurate accounting treatment.
  • Monitor expense accruals and provisions, partnering with operational and finance teams to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment. - Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accounting records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policies.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the Accounting Analyst position is to ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions in compliance with company policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. The role supports the integrity of financial information by performing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing account reconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, and contributing to timely and accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting issues, improve processes, and support business objectives through reliable financial analysis and operational excellence.

This position is located in Querétaro, México.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, with working knowledge of direct and indirect tax regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and corporate financial tools, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with AI tools and Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
  • Understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, internal controls, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of automation, data analytics, or programming tools is considered an asset.
  • Advanced to Fluent Portuguese proficiency (Required). Language skills will be assessed during the initial interview.
  • Advanced to Fluent English proficiency (Required). Language skills will be assessed during the initial interview.
