Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Mexico is seeking a qualified accountant to support general ledger activities, including month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires SAP proficiency, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel skills to communicate with the central finance team on various reports.

The position involves intercompany eliminations, journal entries, and assisting with audits and finance projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field.
• 1–4+ years in general accounting within manufacturing or public accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and account reconciliations.

Responsabilidades

• Account reconciliations from bank to customer rebates and analysis.
• Month-end/year-end close activities with journal entries and reporting.
• Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations.
• SAP month end processing including allocations and FX valuation.
• IFRS reporting packages preparation.
• Coordinate with central finance on SEM German GAAP reporting.
• Lead posting of freight activity and cost reallocations.
• Assist with audits and special projects as needed.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end /yead end closing, account reconciliations and analysis, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions:

• Account reconciliations ranging from bank reconciliations to customer rebates reconciliations and analysis
• Month-end/year end close activities including journal entries, corporate reporting and rollover of balances
• Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations
• SAP month end processing including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation.
• IFRS reporting packages preparation
• Communicate to central finance team on status of monthly closing including the preparation and submission of SEM German GAAP reporting
• Lead posting of freight activity and re-allocation of freight expenses
• Assist other areas of finance with various projects and questions
• Assist with KMPG (interim/final) audit requests
• Special projects as assigned by manager

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and deep understanding of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.

Experience:

• 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment.
• SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
• Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.
• Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Shows commitment to process improvement.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.
• Accounting strongly preferred.
