Bendix, part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, seeks a General Ledger Accountant to support month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires strong Excel skills and SAP experience, with 1–4+ years in accounting within manufacturing or similar environments.

The position is on-site in Mexico and offers diverse projects, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to audit requests and process improvements.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance is required.
• 1–4+ years of general accounting experience in manufacturing or similar.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and corporate reporting.
• Perform account reconciliations and IFRS reporting packages.
• Assist with intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
• Communicate monthly closing status to central finance and SEM German GAAP reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for support of General Ledger, specifically for month end /yead end closing, account reconciliations and analysis, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions:

• Account reconciliations ranging from bank reconciliations to customer rebates reconciliations and analysis
• Month-end/year end close activities including journal entries, corporate reporting and rollover of balances
• Inter and intracompany eliminations, reporting and reconciliations
• SAP month end processing including assessments, allocations, and foreign exchange valuation.
• IFRS reporting packages preparation
• Communicate to central finance team on status of monthly closing including the preparation and submission of SEM German GAAP reporting
• Lead posting of freight activity and re-allocation of freight expenses
• Assist other areas of finance with various projects and questions
• Assist with KMPG (interim/final) audit requests
• Special projects as assigned by manager

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and deep understanding of account reconciliations, accounting principles and procedures.

Experience:

• 1-4+ years of experience in general accounting within a manufacturing or public accounting environment.
• SAP or other ERP experience strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
• Able to confidently and efficiently correspond to all levels of management.
• Advanced independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Shows commitment to process improvement.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field required.
• Accounting strongly preferred.
