RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual contributor, responsible to oversee the legal affairs of the Manufacturing sites in Mexico, reporting directly to the Legal Director for LATAM. Provides legal business and daily advice in various areas of business law related to Vertiv’s legal rights and obligations, including:
- Providing legal advice on business matters (e.g., corporate law, real estate, tax, corporate litigation, transactions/antitrust, compliance, intellectual property, employment/labor, collective negotiation and agreements, corporate governance, compliance, and data privacy).
- Researches, analyzes, and interprets proposed and existing laws, statutes, and regulations. Provides recommendations.
- Identifies, assesses, and addresses legal risk issues.
- Structures, modifies, or adjusts contract clauses that safeguard the interests of Vertiv, negotiate and/or approve legal contracts, letters of agreement, policies and other documents related to a variety of business matters, financial and operational.
- Coordinates outside counsels in matters related to litigation.
- Controls Budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor´s degree in Law
- 5-8 years related with manufacturing operations
- Background on manufacturing environment with a strong labor and business acumen, able to understand the day to day of a plant from a legal and operational perspective
- Robust expertise with Mexican Federal Labor Law and the latest and future amendments
- Experience with SAT and RBA audits
- Proficiency in English is a must
- Strong communication, influential and mentoring skills, able to advice Senior Leaders such as BUs and Plant Directors from a legal standpoint
- Experience in Contract Management with supplier, partnering with Procurement and other areas
- Hands-on, high energy and make it happen mindset is certainly appreciated
- Experience with Trade & Compliance operations (Desirable)
