We are looking for an Electrical/Automation Lead to spearhead our automation initiatives within our engineering projects. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing the design and implementation of electrical and automation systems. Your expertise will drive innovative solutions and ensure project success by meeting technical standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define technical criteria for medium and low voltage electrical systems.
- Select automation technologies and architectures (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
- Supervise the design of electrical panels, backup systems (UPS, generators), industrial lighting, etc.
- Ensure compatibility among electrical, control, and pharmaceutical/non-pharmaceutical processing equipment.
- Ensure systems comply with regulatory standards: GMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.
- Participate in commissioning, testing, qualification, and validation activities, providing support to qualification and validation groups, as well as Engineering and Maintenance, to ensure successful startup and knowledge transfer.
- Ensure technical documentation for HVAC systems and components (drawings, diagrams, specifications) is generated and available, and conduct successful training and information transfer to end-users.
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, HVAC, process engineering, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Manage schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables.
- Supervise work execution by contractors, suppliers, and integrators, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
- Manage human and material resources efficiently to accomplish tasks.
- Participate in resolving complex technical issues in electrical or control systems.
- Contribute to decision-making regarding electrical and automation systems, considering technical, economic, and regulatory factors.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of installed systems.
Minimum Technical Skills:
- Industrial electrical systems (low and medium voltage).
- Industrial automation: PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS.
- Industrial protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC.
- Computerized system validation (CSV) (desirable).
- Industrial network architecture and OT security.
- Process instrumentation.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (GAMP, GMP, FDA) and electrical standards.
- Applicable national and international regulations.
