Job summary

V2X seeks an experienced network engineer to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot its enterprise WAN infrastructure across global locations. You will design, optimize, and administer routing, switching, VPN, and MPLS services while ensuring compliance with security standards and accreditation requirements.

The role demands expert Cisco technologies, DoD 8570.01M certifications, and a long track record of delivering resilient, secure networks under pressure.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of practical experience with network and systems technologies.
  • Expert level certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, MIS, IS, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the WAN infrastructure.
  • Design, optimize, and administer network services including routing, switching, VPN, VRF, MPLS, and layer-2 protocols.
  • Implement change management processes and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with DoD, local, and DISA STIG policies.
  • Support CiscoDNA Center operations and maintain asset documentation for accreditation.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the RCC‑SWA enterprise wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
  • Design, optimize, and administer network services, including routing, switching, VPN, and advanced routing protocols such as VRF, MPLS, and layer‑2 technologies.
  • Implement change management processes and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with higher headquarters, local, and DISA STIG configuration policies.
  • Support CiscoDNA Center operations and maintain asset documentation for accreditation and authorization.
Qualifications
  • Expert level certification in multiple network and security disciplines (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CISSP).
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, MIS, IS, Engineering, or related field; one year of related academic experience may substitute one year of work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of practical experience with network and systems technologies.
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, VRF, MPLS, and layer‑2 protocols.
  • Ability to create and maintain custom Python scripts.
  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, VPN devices, and routing protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and execute multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
Required Certifications (DoD8570.01M)
  • Baseline: CCNP, CASP+, SecurityX, GCED, GCIH, CISA, CCSP, CISSP or Associate.
  • Computing Environment (CE): CC-DN‑A, CCIE, CCNP.
Host Country Requirements

Legal eligibility to work in the host country, including a valid host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
